Congratulations to the Boys Cross Country team on an excellent first race at the Standley Lake Gator Invitational! In the Newcomer Boys division, Junior Axel Fontaine was the top finisher for the Lions, followed by freshmen Shepard Morgan and Micah Hosie. Rowan Ingraham was the top Lion in the Boys Varsity race, with Hank Chojnacki, Tyler West, and Jonas Fontaine following close behind. Sophomores Eli Faulk, Leo Ellcessor, and Maximus Neale were tightly packed together in the Boys Open race, with Leo notching an early season career PR. A fantastic debut, Lions!
The Girls Cross Country team started the season off with an excellent showing at the Standley Lake Gator Invitational! Freshman Sophie Bailey literally ran away with the race, finishing first overall in the Girls Newcomers race by nearly a minute. Gillian Glover, Valen Orrick, Emma Roskelley, and Lexi Myrtle had terrific races as well. In the Girls' Varsity, Junior Natalie Lueker took the top spot for the Lions. Seniors Grace Foresman and Tatum Pratt also raced well in the Varsity race. Sophomore Ella Chase battled hard to finish third overall in the Girls Open race, while Junior Mo Pannier was tenth overall. Next up is the Warrior Invite at deKoevend Park on Friday. FELICITACIONES:
¡Felicitaciones a los equipos de tenis Varsity y JV por sus victorias de apertura de temporada sobre Highlands Ranch HS el viernes! Muchos Leones perseveraron a través de largos partidos y sacaron victorias. Por favor, salgan y apoyen al equipo Varsity de tenis en su apertura en casa contra los Rebeldes de Columbine mañana a las 4:00 pm. ¡Vamos Leones!
¡Felicitaciones al equipo de Campo Traviesa de Varones en una excelente primera carrera en el Invitacional de Standley Lake Gator! En la división de Novatos, el estudiante de tercer año Axel Fontaine fue el mejor de los Leones, seguido por los estudiantes de primer año Shepard Morgan y Micah Hosie. Rowan Ingraham fue el primer León en la carrera Varsity masculina, seguido de cerca por Hank Chojnacki, Tyler West y Jonas Fontaine.
