CONGRATULATIONS:
Congratulations to the JV Tennis team who beat the Alameda Varsity yesterday. Clinching matches were won by Orson at #3 Singles and Ryan & Sebastian at #1 Doubles. Way to go, Lions netsters!

The Lions Boys Cross Country team started out Homecoming Week with an excellent
performance at our own Lions Cross Country Classic race in deKoevend Park. Boys Varsity won
second place with outstanding runs by Hank Chojnacki (who was second overall in the race),
Tyler West and Axel and Jonas Fontaine. The Open Boys, led by Zander Davis with a big career
PR, finished fourth. Other Lions’ PRs in the Open race included Griffin Guzman, Donovan Lego,
Gabe Menard and Boston Bennett.

Congrats to the Girls Cross Country team for their runs in the Lions Cross Country Classic on
Tuesday. The Girls Varsity battled against stiff competition from a number of teams, including a
few tough Jeffco foes, to finish fourth. Natalie Lueker, Sophie Bailey, Tatum Pratt and Grace
Foresman led the Lady Lions. The Open Girls crushed it, taking second place with brilliant runs
from Sarah Nazarenus, Ella Chase, Klara Fortna, Maren Moore, and Gillian Glover.
