CONGRATULATIONS:
Congratulations to Tyler Griffin, who qualified for the State Tennis Tournament at #3 Singles! #1 Singles Gabe and #2 Singles Andrew finished 3rd at Regionals, which makes them alternates for State. The team also finished in 3rd place. Great work Lion Netsters!

Congrats to the football team who beat Lewis Palmer last night 24-6! Didier Aldman, Warren Hoffelt and Landon Boshart set the tone on defense while Brodie Nelson, Kai Durica and Kevin Guzman lead the way for the win!

In last night's volleyball program sweep against the Pomona panthers Cteams Sophelia Wright had killer serves and fantastic passes to seal the win. JV Player of the Game is Lena Drakos for her consistent leadership, her great sets and serves in our win against Pamona. Emma Bird swas varsity’s volleyball player of the game last night. Played great off the net defense and had timely kills during the victory over the pomona panthers. Our last home game is Thursday October 24th against the wheatridge farmers and our highly acclaimed senior night! One pride, one family!

Come out and support your LPS Gymnastics Team this Saturday (10/12) including LHS gymnasts Sophia Bradley, Cameron Cunnison, Kalliope Lucas and Avery Ray! The meet starts at 2pm at Active Athletics. LPS high school students get in FREE with their student ID. Raffle tickets will be available for a chance to win an awesome Halloween basket! See you there!!

Is school burning you out? Too stressed from homework? Come join the RoyalTEA club after school this upcoming Monday, October 14th, in the back of counseling for some snacks, tea and fun!

Guess what, Lions? Sources of Strength peer leaders are hiding glow in the dark dinosaurs around the school! Why? We want to encourage the strength of positive friends. Sometimes it's hard to make friends, so when you see these dinos keep one for yourself and give one to someone new! Making a new friend is a great way to light up the day! If you both go to room 1219 between 8 am and 8:15 am Or room 1218 during B Lunch with your dinos you can get a prize! Positive Friends are part of your SOURCES OF STRENGTH! Reach out to a trusted adult if you need help!

Attention Sophomores & Juniors
This October 29th, LHS will provide the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). Students who choose to participate in this preliminary assessment pay a small fee of $20, and will be provided the opportunity to enter the National Merit Scholarship Program and gain practice for the PSAT/SAT in April. Register with Ms. Schwabauer in the Counseling Office.
