LHS’ version of “Elf on the Shelf” is back! Look for Leo the Lion each day this week. The first person to bring Leo to the Bookkeeper’s Office gets a prize. Winner will be announced daily.
Congrats to the Model UN club for a fantastic performance at East High School's UN conference this Saturday. Special congratulations go to Anna Moreno for winning Outstanding Delegate and Luca Rodriguez for winning Best Delegate! If you're interested in joining Model UN club come to Room 2605, Tuesday at 7:45 AM!
We had a busy speech and debate weekend. Competing for the first time this semester at the Middle School level this Friday, Brenna Gunshore took 5th and Eliana Wilkin took 4th place in Original Oratory! Way to go!
We did some double dipping this weekend, attending two tournaments on Saturday. During our virtual tournaments Kaylie Droy placed 1st in Dramatic Interpretation, Carly Calhoun and Emmett Moxon placed 2nd in Duo Interpretation. In Humorous Interpretation Laura Moxon took 1st and Abby Long took 2nd. In poetry Caroline May took 2nd and Julia McGarrity took 3rd.
Now for our in person tournament: Maddux Holladay placed 4th in Lincoln Douglas Debate, Caroline May placed 3rd in Program Oral Interpretation and Julia McGarrity placed 1st in Poetry! Cheer us on for our next tournament at Cherry Creek High School!

Congratulations to the wrestling team! The girls' team was led by junior Kooper Griggs, who placed 3rd, and sophomore Riley Meissner, who placed 4th. Every girl who competed earned a win. On the boys' side, the team was led by captain David Cruz, who placed 2nd, and junior Christian May, who earned 3rd place. The boys will compete again at Standley Lake on Wednesday, while the girls will host their first home dual against Denver North on Thursday at 5 p.m.

Attention Jewish Student Association members. Join us this week for a special Hanukkah celebration! We will share some traditional hanukkah foods, play dreidel, and celebrate the upcoming holiday. We will be meeting this Thursday at 7:45 in 1314. All are welcome!
Nutrition Services will be hosting a festive sweater day on Friday. For this promotion, we are encouraging all students and staff to come eat lunch with us with their most festive, silly, sweater!
Need to buy holiday gifts? A group of LHS students will be hosting a holiday shop this week, Wednesday and Friday, during both lunches near the cafeteria! Venmo and Cash accepted.
