CONGRATULATIONS:
Congrats to the Unified Lions basketball team who won their regional division on Friday! Thanks to the effort by Reese Reynolds who hit a shot at the buzzer to secure 1st place in the regional tournament! Way to go Lions! Come join the Lions today at 4:15 in the North Gym as we take on the Columbine Rebels. Hope to see you there!

A big congratulations to the LHS Mock Trial team for their outstanding work at the Arapahoe County regional competition over the weekend. Special shout-out to the A team for their recognition of outstanding professionalism. Mock on.

Congratulations to our wrestling team for an outstanding achievement in qualifying six wrestlers for the 2025 CHSAA State Wrestling Championships! Our girls team competed in their first-ever Regional and secured four spots: Junior Mimi Boone, Junior Kooper Griggs, Freshman Wren Freeman, and Senior Isaac Johnson. The boys team qualified two wrestlers: Junior Christian May and Senior David Cruz. These athletes have consistently demonstrated hard work and a commitment to success. Great job to everyone, and best of luck at State!

ACADEMICS:
College Information Night will take place on Wednesday between 6:00-8:00 pm. Things will kick off in the library with a mini college fair, followed by the following breakout sessions:
Financial Aid, Scholarships and WUE
Making the Most of Your College Visit
Myth Busting the Application Process
Students and parents from all grade levels are welcome to attend!

Unified Club has its next meeting tomorrow, February 11th at 7:30 am room 1858! We will be making Valentines and posters for the Tri-School tournament. Everyone is welcome, and if you've come before, bring your friends!

A reminder, if you are attending the CBS field trip this Thursday the permission slips are due today. Please let Mrs. Bartlett-Mogg know if you are no longer attending or still waiting for a signature.

STUDENT BULLETIN:
LHS PTO will be hosting a restaurant fundraising night at Big Daddy's Pizza in Littleton between 5 and 8 PM tomorrow, February 11! This is definitely one of our most lucrative restaurant nights of the year and I want to get the word out early and often:). 30% of the proceeds for the event will come back to LHS PTO to support After Prom 2025. People do not have to mention LHS but it never hurts to let them know how much we care:). Orders can be dine-in or take-out (ordered on the Big Daddy's website or app). GrubHub/UberEats DoorDash not included.

BLOG ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Attention Juniors and Sophomores:
Applications for Auto Tech, Cosmetology, Fire Science and Pro Start are now being accepted on the district CTE website. Please see your counselor if you are interested in requesting one of these programs. The application window closes March 7, 2025. Please do not wait as these classes are very popular.

Are you interested in participating in Baseball, Girls Golf, Boys Lacrosse, Girls Soccer, Boys Swim & Dive, Girls Tennis and/or Track & Field? Spring sport registration is now open on the Athletics website.

Pre-season workouts for spring sports are already happening so reach out to your sport’s head coach if you need more info. Spring sport season practices officially start February 17 (Boys Swim & Dive) and February 24 (all other spring sports).

Feb Fest - the LHS Athletics event to raise money for all our LHS sports teams - is on Saturday, February 22nd from 1-5 pm at Pindustry and it's open to students again this year! Feb Fest is an afternoon of all the awesome Pindustry games - pinball, pool, arcade games and lots more! Plus, ice skating on the sky deck and great food! Tell your parents the link to buy tickets is in the Friday Flyer and on the LHS Athletics and Sports Booster Club websites - and to get tickets by Friday, January 31st for discounted early prices!
