CONGRATULATIONS:
Huge congratulations to the wrestling team! What an incredible year! The Lions had three state placers, which is nothing short of amazing! Jr Kooper Griggs crushed it with a 3rd place finish, finishing the season with an impressive 40-4 record. Sr David Cruz battled hard to place 6th, wrapping up his year with a solid 40-12 record. And don’t forget Fr Wren Freeman, who made an outstanding debut with a 4th place finish and a 23-12 record for the year. What a thrilling and exciting year for the team overall!
This weekend, your LHS speech and debate team competed in the Columbine High School Rebel Invitational. Walking away with some awards were Caroline May, who placed 3rd in Poetry and 1st in Program Oral Interpretation, and Abby Long, who placed 5th in Humorous Interpretation. Please cheer us on, as we will be attending the State tournament in Pueblo this Friday and Saturday. Way to go, team!
