The LHS Varsity Poms are holding a fall tryout this Saturday afternoon from 1-4 PM in the North Gym. Anyone interested in trying out must have a CHSAA approved physical. Links to the physical and other required forms are on our Instagram or can be accessed by scanning the QR code on posters in the Language Arts Hall.

Have you always wanted to join a national leadership organization? Do you want to learn how to make delicious appetizers and desserts? Would you like to compete in fun competitions that may have scholarship money involved? Then Family, Career, Community Leaders of America aka.... FCCLA/Culinary Club is for you! We are a small, diverse and welcoming club. Please join us at 7:20 on Thursday morning in room 1972 (the culinary room) to learn more about us. Next week we will be baking hundreds of cupcakes for the Homecoming Carnival.
Do you love arguing? Or maybe you want to get over your fear of public speaking? Either way, you should join the Speech and Debate team! We have our first full team meeting this Thursday after school in room 1979, and everyone makes the team! If you have any questions, you can ask Coach Ockner.
Calculus and Coffee Club has its first meeting of the year this Friday morning! We meet at 7:40 AM in Ms. Ockner's classroom, 1979. If you are interested in solving fun math puzzles while eating breakfast and making friends, this club is the place for you. New members at ALL levels of math are welcome!

Want to make a positive difference at LHS? Please join Sources of Strength! We are a suicide prevention group that focuses on hope, help, and strength.
Sources of Strength peer leaders get together, eat treats, and plan campaigns to spread awareness of healthy mental health strategies to use when you're feeling down. SOS also wants students to reach out to trusted adults when they need help. Everyone is welcome to join! Our first meeting will be with Mrs. Kubala (formerly Rapp) in room 1219, after school, on Tuesday, August 26th. Reach out to Mrs. Kubala with any questions or to give a treat request at mrapp@lps.k12.co.us.

RPG - - - El club de D&D comenzará a reunirse el jueves 21 de agosto después de clases hasta las 5:00 p. m. en el salón 1606. Determinaremos oficialmente el día de reunión habitual y generaremos ideas para las campañas de este año.
La Asociación de Estudiantes de Tecnología es una organización nacional de estudiantes técnicos y profesionales con más de 400, 000 miembros en programas de secundaria y preparatoria. Está diseñada para estudiantes interesados en el diseño, la ingeniería, el liderazgo y la resolución práctica de problemas, pero no es necesario ser un “experto en tecnología” para unirse. ¿Quieres marcar una diferencia positiva en LHS? ¡Únete a Sources of Strength! Somos un grupo de prevención del suicidio que se centra en la esperanza, la ayuda y la fortaleza.
Los líderes de Sources of Strength se reúnen, comparten golosinas y planean campañas para crear conciencia sobre estrategias saludables de salud mental que se pueden utilizar cuando uno se siente deprimido. SOS también quiere que los estudiantes acudan a adultos de confianza cuando necesiten ayuda. ¡Todos son bienvenidos! Nuestra primera reunión será con la Sra.
