CONGRATULATIONS:
Chess club competed at the LPS district meet this past Saturday and took 1st over HHS, AHS, and OHS. Grayson Manuel placed 1st overall! Everyone else played well. Nicholas Un won the honorable mention award. EHS Will Gleason placed 5th for grades 6-8. A fun time had by all.
ACADEMICS:
Juniors and Seniors interested in taking a class at ACC for 2nd semester, please see their counselor for details. The deadline to register is Friday, December 12th.
SPORTS:
Lions Sports Booster Club will be selling all its terrific LHS spirit wear merch in the school lobby tomorrow, December 11th, and Friday, December 12th, from 11:30 am through 3:45 pm. Pajama bottoms, hoodies, t-shirts, and more - stop by and get the perfect gift for the Lions fan in your life - or some new LHS merch for yourself!
CLUB & ACTIVITY ANNOUNCEMENTS:
The Sources of Strength Community Pantry has food for students that would like to take items home for winter break. Come on down to room 1219 during either lunch on odd days or between 8 am and 8:15 am any day. The food is free and is for any student who needs dinners at home. Soups, pasta, rice, beans, tuna, stuffing, canned vegetables, and more are available!

FELICITACIONES:
El club de ajedrez compitió en el encuentro del distrito LPS el pasado sábado y quedó en primer lugar por delante de HHS, AHS y OHS. ¡Grayson Manuel quedó en primer lugar en la clasificación general! Todos los demás jugaron bien. Nicholas Un ganó el premio de mención honorífica. Will Gleason, de EHS, quedó en quinto lugar en la categoría de 6 a 8 grados. Todos lo pasaron muy bien.

Los estudiantes de tercer y cuarto año interesados en tomar una clase en ACC durante el segundo semestre, por favor, consulten a su consejero para obtener más detalles. La fecha límite para inscribirse es el viernes 12 de diciembre.
