The Speech and Debate team had a great showing this Saturday at Rock Canyon! Kaylie Droy and Emmett Moxon got 3rd in Duo, Abby Long and Laurel Moxon got 5th in Duo, Caroline May got both 1st in Poetry and 4th in Program Oral Interpretation, Laurel Moxon got 5th in Program Oral Interpretation, Gavin Reidy got 2nd in Humorous Interpretation, Kaylie Droy got 5th in Dramatic Interpretation, Baani Sandhu got 3rd in International Extemporaneous, Georgia Moore got 14th in Congressional Debate, and Maddux Holladay got 6th in Lincoln Douglas Debate.
Our girls basketball team picked up a big win over Sierra on Saturday in The Battle at the Ridge tournament. The Lions were led by senior Erica Levene with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Sophomore Josie Wallrath added 8 steals including a big steal and layup in the final minute to put the game away. We hope to see everyone out at Englewood High School tonight at 5:30 for a big basketball doubleheader.
Congratulations to our wrestling team! The girls on Friday were in Pueblo, and senior Mimi Boone took 4th, sophomore Jeslyn Galdamez earned 5th, and sophomore Wren Freeman captured 1st place. On Saturday, the boys battled their way to a 6th-place team finish, highlighted by junior Noah Hansen in 3rd, senior Daniel Tavares in 2nd, and senior Christian May claiming 1st. This week, the girls hit the road to Douglas County, Standley Lake, and Widefield, while the boys compete at Ralston Valley, Chatfield, and Wheat Ridge.
ACADEMICS:

¡El equipo de Discurso y Debate tuvo una gran actuación este sábado en Rock Canyon! Nuestro equipo femenino de baloncesto consiguió una gran victoria sobre Sierra el sábado en el torneo The Battle at the Ridge. Las Leonas estuvieron lideradas por la estudiante de último año Erica Levene, con 11 puntos y 10 rebotes. La estudiante de segundo año Josie Wallrath sumó 8 robos, incluyendo un gran robo y una bandeja en el último minuto que sentenció el partido.
