Day 17 – W.E.B. Du Bois
W.E.B. Du Bois was a scholar and civil rights leader who co-founded the NAACP. He believed education and activism were essential for equality. His ideas still influence social justice work today.

LHS students Danica Flavier, Kevin Lugo Plazola, Milo Vanmetre, Keira Beguin, and Jack O'Connor all have their Gold and Honorable Mentions in a gallery that you can view until Saturday. Attention LHS, Latinos in Action is asking for our school community to come together to support a family who recently lost their home in a fire. We are organizing a one-week donation drive to collect items for their family and essential household supplies. The family has a 6-month-old baby girl who lost all of her belongings, we are accepting donations of baby items (clothing, diapers, wipes, formula), blankets, bottled water, hygiene products, and cleaning supplies. For more information about sizes and items, look at the posters located in front of the Attendance Office. Drop off your donations in the collection box located in the main lobby. Thank you for your generosity!

Atención LHS, Latinos in Action solicita a nuestra comunidad escolar que se una para apoyar a una familia que recientemente perdió su hogar en un incendio. Estamos organizando una campaña de donaciones de una semana para recolectar artículos para su familia y suministros domésticos esenciales. La familia tiene una niña de 6 meses que ha perdido todas sus pertenencias, por lo que aceptamos donaciones de artículos para bebés (ropa, pañales, toallitas, leche de fórmula), mantas, agua embotellada, productos de higiene y artículos de limpieza. Para obtener más información sobre las tallas y los artículos, consulte los carteles situados frente a la Oficina de Asistencia.
