CONGRATULATIONS:
Congratulations to our Lions Girls Cross Country Team on a great race at the Centaurus Bernie
Gay Invitational! Varsity placed 9th in a highly competitive meet, with Sophie Bailey leading the
Lady Lions. Lucia Bovo, Anais Briotet, Gillian Glover, Ainsley Baker, Sarah Nazarenus, Olive Ascani and Annabelle Pannier rounded out the squad. PRs were earned by Lucia, Anais, Olive
and Annabelle. Seniors Ella Chase and Maddy Nolting represented the purple and gold well in
the Girls Open, putting together strong races on a hot, dusty course.
The Boys Cross Country Team raced hard at the Centaurus Bernie Gay Invitational on Saturday.
Senior Tyler West led Varsity for the Lions, with Milo VanMatre, Micah Hosie, Noah Scott and
Leo Ellcessor all posting personal bests. Jonas Fontaine, Louge Stewart, Zander Davis and Henry Hoffman rounded out the Varsity squad. In the Boys Open race, Max Neale and Levi Flanagan battled to a one-two finish for the Lions. Six more boys earned PRs: Thomas Stubner, Grayson Manuel, Brooks Manuel, Hudson Frazier, Miles Johnson and Logan Elliot. Congrats all!

SPORTS:
I know Friday night’s outcome wasn’t what any of us wanted, but the Littleton High School student body showed what it truly means to be the 12th player. When our team was exhausted, you started chanting BELIEVE! BELIEVE! BELIEVE!, and the energy changed; the players heard you, lifted their heads, and kept fighting. The scoreboard may not have gone our way, but neither the team nor the student body gave up, and that final touchdown belonged to all of Littleton. Keep showing up, keep getting loud, and keep believing, because when the 11 Lions on the field and the 12th Lion in the stands fight together, we are building something bigger than one football game. This is Littleton High School. And we BELIEVE.

Hey lions! Young Investor Club will hold our first meeting of the year THIS FRIDAY at 7:45 in Mrs. Frances' classroom. We will learn about different types of stocks and how to diversify your investments, and we will introduce our semester-long Stock Market Game, where you can trade in real markets and see who can make the most money through investing. We will have doughnuts and lots of fun; can't wait to see you there!

Create artwork on an 8.5 x 11-inch sheet of paper that represents your culture, family, traditions, food, music, celebrations, or heritage. Keep artwork school-appropriate and turn it in to Student Services by the end of the school day on Wednesday, September 2. Let’s fill our mural with culture, creativity, and pride!
LHS Travel Week is coming up right after Labor Day weekend. If you are interested in world travel and experiencing new places and cultures, you have opportunities to go see Brazil and Argentina over spring break, and to go see Iceland next summer! ¡Felicidades a nuestro equipo femenino de campo traviesa de las Leonas por una gran carrera en el Centaurus Bernie
Gay Invitational! El equipo principal quedó en noveno lugar en una competencia muy reñida, con Sophie Bailey a la cabeza de las
Leonas. Lucía Bovo, Anais Briotet, Gillian Glover, Ainsley Baker, Sarah Nazarenus, Olive Ascani y Annabelle Pannier completaron el equipo. Lucia, Anais, Olive
y Annabelle lograron sus mejores marcas personales. Las estudiantes de último año Ella Chase y Maddy Nolting representaron muy bien los colores púrpura y dorado en
la categoría femenina abierta, realizando carreras sólidas en una pista calurosa y polvorienta.
El equipo masculino de campo traviesa compitió con gran esfuerzo el sábado en el Centaurus Bernie Gay Invitational.

DEPORTES:
Sé que el resultado del viernes por la noche no fue el que todos queríamos, pero el cuerpo estudiantil de Littleton High School demostró lo que realmente significa ser el “duodécimo jugador”. Cuando nuestro equipo estaba agotado, ustedes comenzaron a corear ¡CREAN! ¡CREAN! ¡CREAN!Y la energía cambió; los jugadores los escucharon, levantaron la cabeza y siguieron luchando. Puede que el marcador no nos haya favorecido, pero ni el equipo ni el cuerpo estudiantil se rindieron, y ese touchdown final le perteneció a todo Littleton. Sigan asistiendo, sigan animando a todo volumen y sigan creyendo, porque cuando los 11 Leones en el campo y el duodécimo León en las gradas luchan juntos, estamos construyendo algo más grande que un simple partido de fútbol americano. Esto es Littleton High School. Y CREEMOS.
