Student Recognition & Congratulations:

Congratulations Boys Varsity soccer, they beat Legend 2-0! We are in the playoffs and our 1st game is here on Thursday at 4pm.  Come out to cheer on the team and WAY TO GO LIONS!!

Congratulations to the Boys C team soccer for their 4-2 win over Legend yesterday for their last home match. It was a great team effort with Ivan Magana and Clayton Pratt sharing goal keeping work and scoring by Jose Torres with 2 goals and Matteo Tesei and Ivan Magana each adding a goal. Great job Lions!

Academic Announcements:

College Night is TONIGHT from 6-8 pm here at school.  Both Juniors and Seniors ...and their parents...will be glad they didn't miss out on all of the information and insights that will help you through the college search and application process.  More information is available on the LHS website homepage.  Don't you dare miss out!

Juniors and Seniors! Admissions reps from over 50 colleges and universities will be visiting our school to meet with students this week.  the list is too long to read, but you can find a complete list on your Naviance account, as well as on the bulletin board across from the cafe.  These rep meetings are just about the best way to find out more about schools you may be interested in.  Stop by Post Grad to pick up a pass in order to attend.

Juniors – Friday is the last day to sign up for the PSAT - Practice SAT. Sign-up in the Counseling Office.  The cost is $20, cash or check made out to LHS.  The test is Wed., Oct. 16, beginning at 7:20 in the South Gym.  Registration is limited with the final deadline Fri., Oct. 11 if there is still space available. 

For students needing help in Math & Science Lockheed Martin tutoring will be here Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6:00-7:30pm in room 107. Please use the forum entrance.

Club Announcements:

All returning Speech and Debate team members are reminded to sign up for November speech tournaments in the Speech Room BY FRIDAY!!

For all those interested in being a partner for Unified Basketball please come to a short informational meeting MONDAY OCT. 14 at 2:15 in room 105.

Sport Announcements:

Girls tennis players we have conditioning today, south gym at 230! Be on time!

Girls Basketball open gyms will run on Monday and Wednesday nights from 6:30-8:30 throughout the fall. Anyone who is interested in trying out for basketball in November is welcome and encouraged to attend! Hope to see you there!

Pre-season conditioning for boys basketball continues this week with open gym times on Tuesday and Thursday from 6- 7:30 pm together with weights M - Th at 2:30 pm. Come on out and get ready for the season.

Other Announcements:

Students – do you need a computer? If you do not have a computer at home, we have free computers for you. These are refurbished desktop computers, not laptops. They use the XP operating system and are loaded with Open Office; please see Mr. Hahn in the counseling office to receive a voucher for a free computer and/or more information.

Attention Seniors – Josten's is coming back TOMORROW, Thursday, October 10th for Graduation orders.  They will be in the senior hall from 10:00a.m to 1:00p.m.

Class t-shirts:  we are changing our procedure for picking up your class t-shirts, if you are missing yours; please see Ms Prestel at any time the Social Studies office or in room 209 to get your shirt. Thanks

Blog Announcements:

Save the Date – Sunday, October 27th for the 18th Annual Stride . Join your fellow students in either a 5K or 10K race through the beautiful streets of Littleton.  We have been challenged to win the School Competition for the 3rd year in a row, so we need to have as many participants as possible join the Littleton High School team. If our school has the largest percentage of participants, we win $1,000!  The PE department is giving extra credit for PE Students who sign up.  Please see Mr. Banfield or go online:  www.runthestride.com
