STUDENT BULLETIN

Special Events:

Celebration BBQ and Concert - On Wednesday the Performing Arts Department will kick-off the 2016-17 season with a BBQ from 5-6:30 p.m., an outdoor performance by the Marching Band & Colorguard at 6:40 p.m. and a concert at 7 p.m.  Tickets for the BBQ are available from Mr. Farrell.

Important Reminders:

Tomorrow is a LATE START Even Period Seminar Wednesday - all students should go to their Seminar for attendance, Seniors and Freshman will then go to the respective class meetings.

We have begun issuing parking tickets to students who do not have a parking pass.  Please see the bookkeeper if you need to purchase a parking permit.

LHS cell phone and dress code policies will be enforced and can be referenced in the student planner.

Academic Announcements:

Lockheed Martin Tutors will be here Wednesday and Thursday evening for students who need help in Math and Science.  This is a free service to LHS students provided by Lockheed Martin Engineers. Tutoring will be available every Wednesday and Thursday from 6:00-7:30pm in room 1740. Students, please use the Forum entrance.

Great opportunity for college-bound Juniors and Seniors!  There will be a "Colleges That Change Lives" College Fair at the Denver Convention Center TONIGHT at 7:00 pm.  It is free, and no pre-registration is required.  Go to ctcl.org/denver for more information.

Senior Announcements:

Attention Seniors:  Please remember that if you are submitting a senior photo from an outside photographer, the deadline is this Friday, September 2nd.  If we do not have a photo from you by Friday, we will schedule a time for you to take your photo with the school photographer on September 15 or 16.  We want every senior to have a picture in the yearbook so we offer this to you free of charge.

Club & Activity Announcements:

Come to RPG every Tuesday and Friday, it starts TODAY right afters school in room 1606.  It is about dungeons and dragon and other board games.

Come to the first FBLA meeting on Thursday in room 1976 at 2:20 pm. We will have snacks and kick off our FBLA season.

If you enjoy gardening, food, nature, and community service, come learn about the Littleton High School PEAS club, a greenhouse based gardening club! We have our first informational meeting on Tuesday September 6 at 2:30 in room 1324.

Sports Announcements:

Attention all Lions, coach Farner (from the boys swim team) is running an 8 week/16 session swim course through September and October. This is open to all swimmers,  boys and girls. Please stop by the office to pick up the information packet if you are interested.

Student Blog Announcements:

Ready to update your LHS Wardrobe?  If so, be sure to stop by the DECA store during lunch next Wednesday, August 31.  The Booster Club will be selling LHS sweatshirts, t-shirts, hats, PJ bottoms, and many other items.  You can preview the choices or place on order on-line, http://www.littletonlions.net/page/show/2713844-lhs-spirit-wear-order-form

"Life After Littleton Night" will take place on Wednesday, September 28th, 6:00 - 8:00 pm here at school.  Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors, and their parents or guardians, will not want to miss this terrific event.  We will have many informative breakout sessions including "Financial Aid 101," "Trade and Tech Careers and Education," "The Parent's Role," "College Entrance Exams," "Building Your College List," "Earning College Credit in High School," and "Community College Certificate Programs.". Don't miss the introductory session which begins right at 6:00 pm...you'll find it helpful and stress relieving!

Back by popular demand!  Mr. Stedron will once again offer his College Essay Workshops during both lunch periods on Tuesday,. Oct. 4th in The Forum.  Seniors who need to write a personal statement or essay for at least one of your college applications will not want to miss this.  Mr. Stedron provides straightforward direction for attacking this often difficult, intimidating piece of writing.  See you there!
