Important Announcements:

Seminar Reminders -
We have Seminar this Wednesday and here are a few reminders.  9th & 10th graders - be sure to bring your registration cards and laptops to Seminar.  11th graders - you will have an important Junior Advisement presentation from Post Grad.  Go to your Seminar rooms.  12th graders - you will make a choice.  You can either go to your Seminar room for a presentation by your Seminar teacher about the steps you should be taking now for your college search, or if you have been accepted what steps you should be taking.  OR you can go to the Forum for a presentation on alternatives to a four-year college.  Representatives from several programs and institutions will be here including Emily Griffith, Build Colorado, Job Corps and others.  Seniors, you must choose one - your Seminar room or the Forum.  Attendance will be taken in both.

Clubs and Activities:

Winter Dance was a huge success this year with the carnival games!!  And, if you played a game, NOW is the time to dig out your raffle tickets.  Here are the winning numbers:  $10 Starbucks card-#5104761.  $10 Noodles and Co card-#5104770.  $10 Smashburger card-#5104693. $10 Einsteins Card-#5104596. Attention Freshmen student council officers and ambassadors!  We are meeting today after school to discuss our community service project.  A representative from House for Hope will join us to discuss the details of this project, and we will sign up for duties and responsibilities.  We will meet in the speech and debate room, next to the forum."

Attention NHS members! We have our mandatory monthly meeting today, at 2:20 in the forum. We will be discussing our next service project, picking t-shirt designs, and having TWO raffles. See you then!

Last chance to buy Val-O-Grams is TODAY!  Student Council will be selling them during both lunches today, or find a StuCo member or Ms. Prestel!  Also, Student Council members, don't forget to turn in your val-o-grams to Ms. Prestel by the end of the day!!

Academics:

Did you know that many businesses in Colorado who hire skilled tradespeople, like electricians, painters or stone masons simply CANNOT find enough people who are trained?  That means there are more jobs than people to fill them!  THAT means an easier time finding a good job that pays well...and has a strong career path.  If this interests you, come to the Trade & Tech Fair in the front lobby during lunches, Wednesday, February 15th.

IB JUNIORS, you have a mandatory meeting Wednesday morning, February 15, at 8 am in the Forum. We will launch the Extended Essay process. Bring your Chromebooks and don't be late. See you at 8 am sharp on Wednesday, February 15. Stop by the IB office if you have questions.

Attention Juniors & Seniors:  An admissions rep from the University of Colorado-Denver will be here to meet with students today, Feb. 13, at 9:00 in the Post Grad Center. Please sign up on Naviance to attend.

Sports:

Attention all Freshmen!  Come support our girls basketball team this Thursday, the 16th at 7:00 as they take on Valor.  All Freshmen get in for free with their ID, and we will be giving out spirit shirts at the game, as well as other giveaways, a halftime game, and prizes. Bring your friends to come cheer, support the team, and show your school spirit.

This Wednesday, February 15, the Lions' Ultimate Team will be having a tye dying party in the big art room, 1218! It goes from 2:30-4:30pm. It costs $5 to get a t-shirt and dye it, $3 if you plan on bringing your own white, 100% cotton material! We hope to see you there!

Join your Unified Lions Basketball Team at the 2nd annual Unity through Unified Fundraiser Night.  Buy a Purple Unity shirt for $5 Monday, Tues, Wed in room 1618.  Let's turn the gym at Heritage  PURPLE Wednesday Feb 15th at 6pm.  Hope to see you all there!

Blog Announcements:

Attention Seniors who will be the first in their families to go to college or a trade & tech school.  The annual Merkle scholarship application is now open online.  Students will have until Friday, March 3rd to complete the application package.  This is a wonderful opportunity which will award two Littleton students with up to $10,000 toward post high school training and education.  If you're interested in applying, stop by Post Grad for more information.

Attention Seniors!  Post Grad is receiving new scholarship opportunities every day.  Check the bulletin board in the Language Arts hallway outside of Post Grad often.
