SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS
Congratulations to our Littleton Lions Football team who were victorious over Englewood 44-33 to improve to 4-0 on the season. Next game is this Friday @ All City Stadium vs Kennedy High School.

Congratulations to the Boys Varsity Cross Country team on their hard-fought win at the Kent Sun Runner Invitational. Despite being down two key runners, your Lions raced their hearts out with three finishing in the top ten including Kaden Pullar, Sawyer Gannon, and Luke Suro. Cameron Graham, Hank Chojnacki, Rowan Ingraham, and Daniel Grady rounded out the varsity squad. Our Boys Open team finished second with Andrew Macedo, Lars Romine, Lucas Sjoberg, Charlie Denman, and Quinn Morgan. Next up is Littleton’s Lions XC Classic this Tuesday, Sept. 20 at deKoevend Park. First race is at 3:00 p.m. Come cheer on your Lions Cross Country team!

The Lions Girls Cross Country team raced to a fifth-place finish at the Kent Sun Runner Invitational over the weekend. Sydney Sheldon led the squad followed by Kenzie Pullar, Anika Bagal, Sophia Sheldon, Holly Burns, Maren Moore, and Rylee Berger. It was all Littleton once again as they topped the Girls Open division with Sophomore Nora Tholen following the lead bike all the way to win the race. Scarlett Montoya was second overall. Freshman Amy Olaechea and Sophomore Grace Foresman also had break-out races both finishing in the top ten overall.

CLUB & ACTIVITY ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Attention Juniors and Seniors with a 3.5 GPA and above. You are qualified to apply for National Honor Society membership. Packets are in the counseling office and must be completed and returned by Wednesday, September 21st at 3:30 pm. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Puchino or Ms. Theieme.

Key Club will meet in room 2620 this Thursday, Sept 22nd at 7:45 a.m. We will be working on preparing for the Homecoming Carnival.

The Lady Lions flag football team had a great performance at Cherry Creek High School this Saturday winning all 3 of their games against tough competition in Columbine, Chatfield, and Grandview. Standout performers for the offense were Daysha Sagrillo-Smiley, Dalana Jakovljevic, and Ashley Plazola for each scoring touchdowns in multiple games, and Emili Garrido had several passing touchdowns. The defense was also stout on Saturday, giving up very few points and forcing several takeaways in the games. Great job lions!! You can catch their next game action, this coming Saturday at Jeffco Stadium.

SOURCES OF STRENGTH Did you receive a packet from Sources of Strength? Congrats on your nomination! Please fill out the last two forms with your parents/guardians and get approved by your 2nd and 4th-period teachers. Bring to Ms. Rapp in room 1219 by Tuesday, September 20th. Attention all grades! Are you in the visual arts? Do you write short stories, poetry, even song lyrics or music? Submit your works to Littleton’s Violet Art Magazine! The publication strives to put the spotlight on creative works produced by students. The October issue’s theme is “Haunted”, feel free to write or create your own interpretation of the theme word, or submit any completed prior works, and submit them through the magazine’s email, violetartmagazine@gmail.com! Details for submissions can be found on the Magazine’s website, which can be found on Littleton’s website under student publications. The next meeting for magazine staff is Thursday, 9/29, after school in Mrs.Fritz’s room 1749, all are welcome!

The LHS Girls Swim & Dive Team will be having a preseason informational meeting on Sept. 19 at 6 PM in the Forum. You will be able to preview the team apparel, meet the head coach, speak with the booster committee and captains, and much more. Please attend if you are considering joining the Girls Swim & Dive Team this year. Hope to see you there!

The PSAT test date is Wednesday, October 12th at 7:45 a.m. in the South Gym. Sign-ups will begin Monday, September 19th for Juniors, Monday, September 26th for Sophomores and conclude Friday, October 7th. Sign up in the counseling office and bring $20 (non-refundable). Space is limited so don’t wait until the last minute!

Do you need to take Driver's Education classes? Earn high school graduation credit this Fall by taking driver education. Go to littletonpublicschools.net/driversed to sign up. Classes are filling up fast!
