ACADEMICS:
A representative from Lincoln Tech will be visiting LHS during lunches today in the library. Come over and learn about their programs in HVAC, welding, and automotive.

Students in IB classes. A reminder that your signed orange IB exam forms are due to the IB office by Monday, September 16th.

SPORTS :
The Girls Swim & Dive Team will be having an informational meeting for parents and athletes on Monday, Sept. 23 from 6-7 pm in the Forum. If you are interested in joining the team, please come and meet your coaches and captains!

CLUB & ACTIVITY ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Are your classes turning you INSIDE OUT, making it feel like you’re trying to travel INTERSTELLAR, or make you feel like you’re OPPENHEIMER doing nuclear physics? After you GET OUT of school, come down to film club in room 2610 to watch Jurassic Park. We’ll have snacks and drinks, although we won’t have any RATATOUILLE. Be sure to get a permission slip from Ms Schwabauer.

Calculus and Coffee will meet for the second time on Friday morning - come join us at 7:40 in room 1979 for breakfast, coffee, and math! We will also be planning our Carnival booth for Homecoming. Everyone is welcome; hope to see you there!

STUDENT BULLETIN:
Are you planning to take a guest from another school to Homecoming? If so, you must pick up a guest form from the attendance office in the main lobby and get it filled out. All guest forms are due by Wednesday, September 18th.

Looking for some R&R? Come to the NEW Roblox and Relaxation Club! We will enjoy games, practice relaxation strategies, and, most importantly, build relationships through community building. If you are interested, scan the QR code on the posters located around the school for more information. The first meeting will be tomorrow, September 11th, at 3:40 p.m. in room 2622. Juniors and Seniors interested in joining the National Honor Society, please stop by to pick up an application packet from counseling. Remember, students need a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above to qualify for membership in NHS. Packets are due Friday, September 13, 2024, with a one-time admission fee of $20.00. Runners, walkers, and all those looking for a fun, family-friendly 5K – we want you! The Flyin’
Lion 5K is Sun., Sept. 15, at the high school. This race benefits our athletic programs and activities and is one of our Booster Club’s annual fundraising events. With a beautiful course on the High Line that starts and ends on the new track in our recently renovated stadium, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Add in a delicious pancake breakfast, and you will have an event you won’t want to miss! Details and registration are available at flyinlion5k.com. Do you want your 15 minutes of fame?
