CONGRATULATIONS:
Congratulations to the Lions Girls Cross Country team on a great outing at the Arapahoe Warrior Invitational! Our leading Varsity runners were Natalie Lueker, Sophie Bailey, and Tatum Pratt. For the Girls Freshmen/Sophomore division, Ainsley Baker was our top finisher, followed by Sarah Nazarenus and freshman Gillian Glover. In the Junior/Senior division, Sam Denman and Maren Moore led the way for the Lions, with Emma Roskelley notching a season-best time on a tough course with two water crossings.
The Boys Cross Country team did an amazing job at the Arapahoe Warrior Invitational the
Friday before Labor Day Weekend! Junior Hank Chojnacki led the Lions Varsity with Tyler West and Rowan Ingraham rounding out our top three finishers. In the Freshman/Sophomore race, Zander Davis, Henry Hoffman and Leo Ellcessor were the top three Lions. Junior Gabe Menard represented the Lions in the Junior/Senior division and crushed the course with a nearly five-minute improvement over his 2023 time.

Fall league lacrosse has begun. Come join us on Wednesdays from 6:30-8:00 on the turf. We are looking to join the DLC fall league (Saturdays) and play in the Boomerang tournament next month (Oct. 6). Hey everybody! This is a friendly reminder to come check out the NEW ActiVida Community Leadership Club tomorrow at 8 am. We’re going to be doing fun, community-focused fitness challenges and sports activities all year. We are starting this Wednesday, September 4th, by bringing Colorado's master Zumba instructor, Van Oberly, up from Castle Rock. The Zumba class will be in the North Gym and is free and open to all LHS students and staff. No previous dance fitness experience is needed. We even heard a rumor Mr Enzminger is going show off some of his best moves... Don't be shy - drop in tomorrow to get your morning workout in and experience what we're all about!
Runners, walkers, and all those looking for a fun, family-friendly 5K – we want you! The Flyin’Lion 5K is Sun., Sept. 15, at the high school. This race benefits our athletic programs and activities and is one of our Booster Club’s annual fundraising events. With a beautiful course on the High Line that starts and ends on the new track in our recently renovated stadium, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Felicitaciones al equipo de campo traviesa de las chicas de los Leones en una gran salida en el Torneo Invitacional de los Guerreros de Arapahoe.
Nuestras corredoras principales fueron Natalie Lueker, Sophie Bailey, y Tatum Pratt.
