CONGRATULATIONS:
In volleyball news, last nights venture to Widefield High School found C-teams Sarah Henderson backing up her teammates and bringing a positive force on the court. Rylee Padilla had the superstar ability to make positive changes when she stepped on the JV court. Ava Hanson aced the other team off the court and handed out assists in Varsity's victory over Widefield last night. One pride one family!

Congratulations to our LHS mountain biking team. Last weekend, at their race in Frisco, LHS podiumed for the first time ever, taking 2nd place in their division. Junior Jack Bellon earned 5th place in JV boys, and Sophomore Rachel Leather earned first place in the Sophomore girls race. Next weekend, September 8th, the team races in Steamboat.

ACADEMICS:
Attention Staff and Students: On Wednesday, 9.4, the Library will be closed from 8 AM to noon for testing.

SPORTS :
If you are looking for excitement, come watch our boys' soccer teams. JV battled hard as a team to tie JFK last night. Come support the Lions next Wednesday when JV and Varsity take on Niwot at home. The action begins at 5. Go Lions!

Hey everybody! This is a friendly reminder to come check out the NEW ActiVida Community Leadership Club on Wednesdays at 8 am. We’re going to be doing fun, community-focused fitness challenges and sports activities all year. We are starting next Wednesday, September 4th, by bringing Colorado's master Zumba instructor, Van Oberly, up from Castle Rock. The Zumba class will be in the North Gym and is free and open to all LHS students and staff. No previous dance fitness experience is needed. We even heard a rumor Mr Enzminger is going show off some of his best moves... Don't be shy - drop in on Wednesday to get your morning workout in and experience what we're all about!

Firm Foundation Christian Club will have its first meeting of the school year on Wednesday morning, September 4th, at 8:45 in room 211. We will discuss our plans for the school year. We meet to encourage each other and create lasting friendships. You don't have to be a Christian to attend. Everyone is welcome!

Lion 5K is Sun., Sept. 15, at the high school. This race benefits our athletic programs and
activities and is one of our Booster Club’s annual fundraising events. With a beautiful course on
the High Line that starts and ends on the new track in our recently renovated stadium, there’s
