As we wrap up Native American Heritage Month, let’s take a moment to remember the many Native leaders, artists, athletes, and visionaries we’ve learned about this month. Their stories remind us of the strength, wisdom, and creativity that Indigenous peoples have contributed and continue to contribute to our nation’s history and future. Let’s carry this spirit of respect, learning, and appreciation beyond November by continuing to listen, learn, and celebrate the voices of Native communities all year long.

Our DECA and Business students dominated regional competition this week!
LHS had ELEVEN of the top test takers who scored the highest test score in their event! And even better - 20 students are heading to STATE, and 18 of them won FIRST PLACE in their events. That’s next-level Lion excellence. And for the FOURTH straight year, LHS earned the Chapter Productivity Award, meaning we had the highest percentage of students qualify for State—a true testament to hard work and dedication. These students showed up, worked hard, and represented LHS with pride. Give them a big congratulations when you see them!
Way to go, Lions. This is excellence. This is pride. This is LHS.

Buenos días, LHS.
Al concluir el Mes de la Herencia Indígena Americana, dediquemos un momento a recordar a los numerosos líderes, artistas, deportistas y visionarios indígenas que hemos conocido este mes. Sus historias nos recuerdan la fuerza, la sabiduría y la creatividad que los pueblos indígenas han aportado y siguen aportando a la historia y al futuro de nuestra nación. Llevemos este espíritu de respeto, aprendizaje y aprecio más allá de noviembre, continuando escuchando, aprendiendo y celebrando las voces de las comunidades indígenas durante todo el año.

¡Nuestros estudiantes de DECA y Negocios dominaron la competencia regional esta semana!
¡LHS tuvo ONCE de los mejores examinados que obtuvieron la puntuación más alta en su evento! Y aún mejor: 20 estudiantes se dirigen al ESTADO, y 18 de ellos ganaron el PRIMER LUGAR en sus eventos. Eso es excelencia Leonera de otro nivel. Y por CUARTO año consecutivo, LHS obtuvo el Premio a la Productividad del Capítulo, lo que significa que tuvimos el mayor porcentaje de estudiantes que se clasificaron para el estatal, un verdadero testimonio del trabajo duro y la dedicación. Estos estudiantes se presentaron, trabajaron duro y representaron a LHS con orgullo. ¡Felicítelos cuando los vean!

Hoy es el último día del mes de noviembre sin afeitarse. Justo a la hora del almuerzo, el presidente del cuerpo estudiantil, Gavin Reedy, y el Dr. Velázquez serán afeitados por el personal o los estudiantes que hayan hecho una donación para el mes de noviembre sin afeitarse. Aún no es demasiado tarde para donar. Hoy, antes del almuerzo, haremos un sorteo. Nos vemos a la hora del almuerzo en el vestíbulo principal.
