November is Native American Heritage Month, a time to honor the rich histories, cultures, and lasting contributions of Native American peoples across the United States. This month celebrates the Indigenous leaders, artists, athletes, and changemakers who have shaped our nation’s story and continue to inspire us today.
Day 1 – Sitting Bull (Hunkpapa Lakota):
Sitting Bull was a courageous leader and respected spiritual figure of the Lakota Sioux. He united his people to defend their land, culture, and freedom during a time of great challenge. Remembered for his wisdom and strength, he remains a symbol of Native pride and resistance.
CONGRATULATIONS:
Congratulations to sophomore Sophie Bailey on an outstanding debut at the 4A State Cross Country Championship in Colorado Springs on Saturday! Her time of 20:34 was good enough to earn her 61st place on a challenging course in a race jam-packed with the State's fastest, most talented runners. Way to represent the Lions, Sophie! We are so proud of you!
Let’s go, Lions! In a spectacular finish to the season, the boys' cross country team raced hard to 14th place, eclipsing their ranking coming into the 4A State Championship over the weekend. Hank Chojnacki was first for the team with Tyler West, Jonas Fontaine, and Axel Fontaine hot on his heels. Rowan Ingraham led another tight pack a few runners back that included Zander Davis and Louge Stewart. Special shout-out to our alternate, Henry Hoffman, who supported the team both throughout the week and going into the race.
Lion pride! Seniors Reese Reynolds and Annika Stutzman raced with grit and determination in the Unified/Paralympic event at the State Cross Country Championships in Colorado Springs on Saturday. It was a bittersweet moment when each of them crossed the finish line in the final cross country race of their high school running careers. But we have all been so proud of their continued growth in the sport and the way they represent Littleton High School! Great job, ladies!
Congrats to Josie, Finley and Caden on their contributions to the Arapahoe mixed ultimate frisbee team on their 5th place finish at Division 2 state. They won 5 of 6 games this past weekend! Look for opportunities to play ultimate this spring - all genders welcome!

The Boys and Girls Swim & Dive Teams will have a quick informational meeting in the pool area after school today. If you are planning on swimming and/or diving, please arrive no later than 3:45 pm. The meeting will be short and should be done by 4:00 pm. Go Lions!

Noviembre es el Mes de la Herencia Indígena Americana, un momento para honrar la rica historia, cultura y contribuciones duraderas de los pueblos indígenas americanos en todo Estados Unidos. Este mes se celebra a los líderes, artistas, atletas y revolucionarios indígenas que han dado forma a la historia de nuestra nación y continúan inspirándonos hoy en día.

Su tiempo de 20:34 le valió el puesto 61 en una carrera muy exigente en la que participaron las corredoras más rápidas y con más talento del estado. ¡Así se representa a los Leones, Sophie! ¡Estamos muy orgullosos de ti!

En un espectacular final de temporada, el equipo masculino de campo a través corrió con fuerza hasta alcanzar el decimocuarto puesto, superando su clasificación en el Campeonato Estatal 4A celebrado durante el fin de semana. Hank Chojnacki fue el primero del equipo, seguido de cerca por Tyler West, Jonas Fontaine y Axel Fontaine. Rowan Ingraham lideró otro grupo muy reñido unos cuantos corredores más atrás, en el que se encontraban Zander Davis y Louge Stewart. Mención especial para nuestro suplente, Henry Hoffman, que apoyó al equipo tanto durante toda la semana como durante la carrera.
¡Orgullo león! Las estudiantes de último año Reese Reynolds y Annika Stutzman corrieron con garra y determinación en el evento Unificado/Paralímpico del Campeonato Estatal de Campo a Través en Colorado Springs el sábado. Fue un momento agridulce cuando cada una de ellas cruzó la meta en la última carrera de campo a través de su carrera atlética en la preparatoria. ¡Pero todos estamos muy orgullosos de su continuo crecimiento en el deporte y de la forma en que representan a Littleton High School! ¡Buen trabajo, chicas!
