CONGRATULATIONS:
Congrats to the MODEL U.N. team for participating and contributing greatly to this Saturday's competition at Erie High School. Special props go to Eli Selzer for winning Honorable Mention Delegate, Luca Rodriguez for winning Best Position Paper and Best Delegate, and to Jillian Kosanovich for earning the Outstanding Delegate award!
Congrats to the Track Team, who competed this weekend in their home meet. Girls finished 7th out of 20th in a highly-competitive meet!
Top Performers were:
Stella Begly - 7th place in the 300 meter hurdles and 9th in Long Jump
Sophia Bradley - Who finished 8th in the Pole Vault with a huge personal record!
Enna Swackhamer - 7th in Triple Jump
Jayla Scheffield - 4th Place in the Discus and 6th in Shot Put
The Lions also had two relays place on Saturday, The 4x200m Relay and the 4x800m Relay!
Max Durica led the boys with 3 personal bests and placing in the 100, 200, and Long Jump!
Rowan Ingraham finished 9th in the 3200m Run
Kynan Harris finished 9th in the Discus
The Boys 4x800m Relay finished in 4th place

Open Gyms for Girls Volleyball starts today from 5:15-6:45 pm in the North Gym. We hope to see you all there.
There will be a brief meeting for girl's basketball on Wednesday, April 17th, immediately after school in Room 1329. This meeting is open to current players or anyone considering playing basketball next season. We'll be discussing summer basketball opportunities and how you can get a head start on next year.
CLUB & ACTIVITY ANNOUNCEMENTS:
The Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA) will meet today after school in the library between 3:35-4:15 pm. Join us to meet new people, share ideas, and build a community! Everyone is welcome to join!
Key Club will be collecting gently used children's and teen clothing for Clothes for Kids of Denver from April 22nd through April 26th. There will be a collection box in the lobby by the attendance office. If you have a little extra time during next week's testing, what a great idea to clean out your closet and see if you have anything to donate!
STUDENT BULLETIN:
Be sure to come to Raising Cane’s in Highlands Ranch tomorrow/today (Tue, 4/16) between 3 and 9 PM; mention LHS PTO, and 15% of the proceeds will benefit After Prom!
Seniors, our LHS community has created a Mickey Wentz Memorial Scholarship for students attending a two or four-year accredited college/technical school next year. Applications can be picked up in post-grad or accessed through your seminar's Google Classroom. The application deadline is May 1st.

FELICITACIONES:
Felicitaciones al equipo MODEL U.N. por participar y contribuir en gran medida a la competencia de este sábado en la escuela preparatoria Erie. Felicitaciones especiales a Eli Selzer por su Mención Honorífica como Delegado, a Luca Rodríguez por su Mejor Documento de Posición y Mejor Delegado, y a Jillian Kosanovich por su premio al Delegado Sobresaliente.
Felicidades al equipo de atletismo, que compitió este fin de semana en su reunión en casa. Las chicas terminaron 7 de 20 en un encuentro muy competitivo.
Los mejores fueron:
Stella Begly - 7mo lugar en los 300 metros con vallas y 9no en salto de longitud
Sophia Bradley - ¡Quien terminó 8va en el salto con pértiga con un gran récord personal!
Enna Swackhamer - 7ma en triple salto
Jayla Scheffield - 4to lugar en disco y 6to en lanzamiento de bala.
Los Leones también tuvieron dos relevos el sábado, el relevo 4x200m y el relevo 4x800m.
Max Durica lideró a los chicos con 3 marcas personales y colocándose en los 100, 200, y salto de longitud.

Habrá una breve reunión para el baloncesto femenino el miércoles, 17 de abril, inmediatamente después de la escuela en el salón 1329. Estudiantes del último año, nuestra comunidad LHS ha creado una beca en memoria de Mickey Wentz para estudiantes que asisten a una universidad acreditada de dos o cuatro años / escuela técnica el próximo año. Las solicitudes se pueden recoger en posgrado o acceder a través de su seminario de Google Classroom. La fecha límite de solicitud es el 1 de mayo.
